Knowledge Project
Knowledge Project

The Knowledge Project was created to build a stronger public understanding of Kaurna history, language, and culture—laying the foundation for more meaningful conversations. Sparked by a discussion between Nucleus and Kaurna educator Jack Buckskin, the project addressed the challenge of continually explaining basic cultural concepts. Nucleus partnered with Kuma Kaaru Cultural Services and secured support from the City of Adelaide to develop an educational resource unlike any before it.

The initiative included a website, video series, and a distinct brand identity to support wide digital reach and engagement. Storytelling was central to the project’s success, with a creative strategy that featured Jack delivering content on-camera in both modern clothing and traditional painted totems—bridging contemporary life and cultural heritage.

Launched in July 2024, The Knowledge Project has been met with strong public response and now serves as a platform for ongoing cultural education and deeper community understanding.
