In May 2019, Village National, a provider of workstay accommodation services for FIFO workers, acquired 'Oil Industry Catering & Services' (OICS), who predominantly set up and/or manage remote accommodation camps for Oil, Mining, Construction and Pipeline companies.
As a result, the brands and websites needed to be reconsidered to ensure stronger alignment into the future.
The first step was to determine a new brand structure and narrative through a workshop process with the merged entities. Together we established the 'Village National Group', which would form a parent entity for 'Village National Camps' and 'OICS' in a house of brands structure.
The next step was to build the brand identities and simultaneously develop the websites. Our approach was to develop a template system for one website that could have each individual brand identity applied to it. This enabled us to create three websites from one. We also structured the three sites in such a way that they could be managed from one installation of the wordpress CMS.
This process enabled Nucleus to provide significant budget efficiency for the Village National Group.
